Getting Present & Diving Deep With Somatic Therapy

You may have a therapist you love but are looking for added support for nervous system regulation. You may be looking for therapy that incorporates the body to help you process stuck emotion. You may be looking for concrete tools to manage stress. You may not know what you’re looking for and somatic therapy could be a great place to start.

Somatic therapy is a present-oriented, skill based, and experiential way to welcome more vitality in the body and peace of mind. I work with clients who may be feeling stressed, dysregulated, burnt out, disconnected, pain in the body, and unprocessed grief. Clients gain a toolbox of skills to increase their ability to be present and regulated.

I draw from yoga, polyvagal theory, ecotherapy, somatics, parts work, attachment-focused EMDR, and earth-based spirituality to help you reconnect to the natural rhythms of the body and a sense of inner guidance. We build bridges of connection to your body, sense of self, relationships, and the earth.

Creating Sacred Space

We start with what you love, explore your gifts, and help you carve out space and time for a routine of body awareness.

Widening Compassion for Pain

We practice breath work and focusing exercises to build compassionate awareness of pain and the movement of emotion.

Grounding & Resourcing

We explore grounding techniques, visualization, and tapping in resources to widen tolerance for rest and support.

Transforming & Clearing Energy

We move through postures to re-pattern our reactions and energy practices to clear and release what no longer serves us.

Nervous System Regulation

We learn about stress cycles, how to track the autonomic nervous system, and tools for regulating back into safety and connection.

Honoring Cycles

We listen to messages of the body, trust it to heal itself, and honor it’s natural rhythms and cycles with ritual and expression.
