How I show up…
Grounded
I recognize the reality of power dynamics and domination culture on our lives while learning from the earth about interdependency and reciprocity.
Discerning
I am a critical thinker who values science and evidence-based treatments. I am also open to unseen forces and being in liminal spaces. I believe both are important.
Present
I am walking this path with you. I practice mindfulness and nervous system regulation skills so I can be present for your light and your shadow.
Guiding
I love helping clients connect to their own guidance. I also use my own guidance to share insights when useful. I give practical tools and resources based on your needs.
Warm
I believe the energy of the heart is a source of connection between all beings on the earth. I try to stay open-hearted so you feel seen and heard.
Empowering
I trust your journey. I like to work with your strengths, be creative honoring losses, and celebrate your wins so you can trust your own journey, too.
Three pathways home…
Humans have come to believe that we are separate and superior to nature. We have dominated and exploited the earth in a way that our own survival is at risk. We do the same thing to each other and to ourselves. Along the way, we learn that there are parts of ourselves and our experience that are intolerable or unloveable. We learn to survive by disconnecting. We learn to heal by reconnecting.
-
Earthwork
The earth teaches us about wholeness. When we come home to the earth, we learn what it means to give and receive support. We practice belonging.
-
Bodywork
Our body teaches us about presence. When we come home to our bodies, we learn to trust the rhythm of our nervous systems.
-
Soulwork
Our soul teaches us about truth. When we come home to our truest self, we stay connected to what matters. We feel guided through the cycles of life.
Let’s get started!
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
― Rumi
Honoring the homeland of the Abenaki & Wabanaki people...
I consider it an honor to be able to help people connect to the beautiful and generous land in Southern Maine. I acknowledge that I am doing so on the unceded homeland of Abenaki and Wabanaki people. I’m committed to continually contextualizing ecotherapy and nature connection within domination culture and the harm done to Native people by settler colonialism. I’m always learning and encourage all of us who enjoy time in Maine to support the Wabanaki Confederacy. Wabanaki REACH is a wonderful organization to help us learn and participate.
