Somatic Therapy
in Saco & Biddeford, Maine
and Online
Come home to your body,
your self.
Have you experienced trauma, grief, life transitions, or chronic stress that left you feeling untethered — anxious, disconnected, or overwhelmed? Are you longing to feel safe in your body, present in your life, and connected to what matters most?
You're not broken — you're carrying the imprint of what you’ve lived through. And healing is possible.
I offer body-centered therapy to help you regulate your nervous system, release old patterns, and come home to yourself.
“The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.”
― Maya Angelou
Meet Jessica Wallner, LCPC, RYT 200
Hi, I’m Jess. I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor based in Saco, Maine, offering holistic counseling, trauma therapy, ecotherapy, and somatic coaching for adults navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, and disconnection.
I believe therapy is sacred — a space where your story is honored, your body is welcomed, and your wholeness is remembered.
My approach integrates:
Somatic Experiencing
Attachment-Focused EMDR
Ecotherapy & Nature-Based Ritual
Parts Work
Trauma-Informed Yoga & Mindfulness
Whether we’re meeting in the office, online, or in the forest, I’ll support you in creating gentle change at a body-deep level, so you can move from survival into presence, connection, and agency.
“Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.”
― Paul Coelho
Mind-Body Sessions
Somatic therapy is a body-based approach that helps you process trauma, shift patterns, and regulate your nervous system. If you feel stuck in anxiety, shutdown, or overwhelm, this work can help you reconnect with your body as a safe place.
Sessions include breathwork, movement, parts work, mindfulness, and emotional processing — always at your pace.
Four Ways of Working
-
Holistic Counseling
Some clients come to therapy during times of major life transition — seeking a space to slow down, reflect, and process from a holistic perspective that honors the mind, body, heart, and spirit. I support clients in exploring these changes with mindfulness, emotional presence, and body-based therapeutic tools that help access deeper layers of healing. Often, a spiritual perspective is helpful in making new meaning, finding direction, and reconnecting with a sense of purpose.
-
Somatic Coaching
Some clients already have a talk therapist and are looking for a separate space to practice somatic skills. Others may not be verbal processors at all and need help to deepen their mind-body connection. They may feel stressed, burnt out, overwhelmed, disconnected, or numb, and need support in exploring, understanding, and shifting the body. Somatic coaching offers a more targeted, experiential approach to working with the nervous system. Rather than focusing on the story, I use body-based practices to help you notice patterns, build regulation, and reconnect with your internal resources.
-
Trauma Therapy
Some clients have found talk therapy helpful, yet still feel stuck in patterns rooted in past trauma. These patterns can continue to show up in the form of anxiety, emotional reactivity, relationship challenges, or a lingering sense of unease — even after years of insight. I integrate Somatic Experiencing, attachment-focused EMDR, and parts work to support deep healing. This approach helps reprocess painful experiences stored in the body, so you're less triggered in the present and so a new, more embodied narrative can emerge.
-
Ecotherapy
Some clients are looking for something different. They may be asking the big existential questions - Why am I here? What really matters? Where do I belong in all of this? Outdoor ecotherapy happens not just in words, but in walking, sitting, breathing — with the trees, the sky, the changing light. Together, we’ll explore what it means to be human in a world that often doesn’t make sense, and see what begins to unfold when we reconnect with the natural world — and with ourselves.
